Insurance Coverage

Did you know that recent California law mandates that most health insurance plans cover ABA treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder? Behavior Frontiers has contracts with health plans so that we can provide this medically necessary treatment to children with autism spectrum disorder. Please contact us today to find out if your child’s health insurance plan will cover these benefits at 1-888-922-2843.

We are also a vendor of the California regional centers and a certified nonpublic agency through the Department of Education.

We provide ABA services for children through California Regional Centers. California Regional Centers are nonprofit private corporations that contract with the California Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Julie Sulzinger, M.A., BCBA

Senior Clinical Director - Central Orange County

Julie Sulzinger received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development and Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education from California State University Northridge (CSUN). She completed her BCBA coursework through the Florida Institute of Technology. As an undergraduate and graduate student, Julie’s internships included working with infants and toddlers with a variety of global developmental delays. Julie acquired field experience in performing home-based functional behavior assessments, assessment tools, conducting behavior consultations and parent training, writing and applying evidence-based acquisition skills programs, staff development training, and behavior-reductive intervention plans. Julie has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2007 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016. Julie has experience providing behavior support in the classroom, in a clinical-based setting, and in-home services. Julie strives to conduct and provide high-quality ABA treatment for the client and their family to their individual needs.

Deanna Bautista, M.S., BCBA

Clinical Director — East Orange County Region

Deanna Bautista earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Deanna continued her studies at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she earned her Masters of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Deanna began her ABA career in 2015 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2020. Deanna is dedicated to helping families and children with autism and special needs obtain exceptional services and behavior intervention through the use of Discrete Trial Training, Verbal Behavior, Functional Communication Training, and Natural Environment Training. Deanna utilizes her skills and experience to develop curriculum, design programs, conduct assessments, and provide parent and staff support for those clients served in the San Bernardino areas.

Shandori Harris, M.S. BCBA

Clinical Director – South & West Orange County Region

Shandori Harris earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis of child development at California State University, Long Beach in 2016. Shandori continued her studies at National University, where she earned her Masters of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2019. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2019. Shandori began her ABA career in 2016 working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related developmental disabilities. She has provided ABA services both in home and in the school setting. Shandori is trained in the following methods: natural environmental teaching (NET), discrete trial teaching (DTT), verbal behavior (VB), and functional communication training (FCT). As an Associate Clinical Director, she is responsible for overseeing all clients and employee’s in South OC region. Her goal is to work with employees, families, and other service providers to provide effective evidence based treatment plans to help increase the quality of life for all clients and their families. Shandori believes that working together and collaborating will help provide positive changes to all the clients we serve in South OC.
