Texas Insurance Laws
In 2007, House Bill 1919 was passed and it took effect on January 1, 2008. In 2009, House Bill 451 was passed and it took effect on January 1, 2010, and in 2013 the autism insurance mandate was revised again (SB1484) . The Texas Autism Insurance Act requires a health insurance plan to provide coverage to children who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder by age 10, for all generally recognized services (including ABA) prescribed in relation to autism spectrum disorder by the child’s primary care physician in a treatment plan recognized by that physician.

Lyza Lattanza M.A., BCBA, LBA
Clinical Director
Lyza is a BCBA, LBA who has worked with a vast population of children, adolescents, and young adults since entering the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in the spring of 2017. After receiving her bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Houston, she began working as a behavior therapist in the clinical setting where she gained extensive experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and other developmental and mental health diagnoses. Lyza received her master’s in special education with a special focus on autism from UTPB in Odessa, TX and went on to receive her ABA certificate from Texas Tech University. Lyza became a board certified behavior analyst in March 2020 and has since delivered treatment in the clinic, home, daycare, and community settings. Lyza takes a special interest in teaching pivotal behaviors to those she works with.
